TidyRoll — Clean Up Your Photos

TidyRoll is an iPhone app for sorting and cleaning up your photo library. All keep/toss decisions and app preferences are stored locally on your device. The optional iCloud sync feature sends data exclusively to your own private iCloud account — we never see or access it.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
We have no servers, no accounts, and no backend. There is nowhere for your data to go except your own devices.
TidyRoll requests access to your photo library solely to display photos on-screen so you can review and sort them. Photos are read directly from your device using Apple's Photos framework — they are never uploaded, copied to a server, or shared with any third party.
When you choose to delete photos, TidyRoll instructs Apple's PhotoKit framework to move them to your device's Recently Deleted album, where they remain recoverable for 30 days. This action happens entirely on your device.
Your keep/toss decisions are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. A lightweight usage counter (number of photos deleted) is stored in UserDefaults on your device. No photo content is stored by the app — only the identifiers of photos you have reviewed.
TidyRoll offers optional iCloud sync as part of the lifetime purchase. When active, your sorting decisions are synced through Apple's CloudKit framework to your private iCloud database. This data is encrypted by Apple and is accessible only to you — we do not have access to it.
You can manage your iCloud data at any time from the iOS Settings app under your Apple ID. Uninstalling TidyRoll does not automatically remove data from iCloud.
TidyRoll offers a one-time lifetime purchase to unlock unlimited photo cleanup. All payment processing is handled by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment card information. Apple's Privacy Policy governs all transaction data.
The app stores a boolean flag in UserDefaults to remember that you have purchased, so it does not need to verify with Apple on every launch. This flag never leaves your device.
TidyRoll does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only frameworks used are Apple's own (Photos, PhotosUI, SwiftData, CloudKit, StoreKit), all of which keep data on your device or within your Apple account.
Because we collect no data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our end. Your sorting decisions persist on your device until you delete them within the app or uninstall it. If iCloud sync is enabled, data persists in your iCloud account subject to Apple's retention policies.
TidyRoll does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because the app collects no personal data at all, it is safe for users of any age.
If you are located in the European Union, EEA, or California, you may have rights regarding your personal data under GDPR or CCPA. Because TidyRoll does not collect or process any personal data on our servers, these rights have limited practical application — there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete.

We may update this policy if the app's functionality changes in a way that affects data handling. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
