TidyShots — TidyShots
Last updated: October 2026
TidyShots is an iPhone app that helps you review the screenshots in your photo library and decide which ones to save or delete. All decisions and app preferences are stored locally on your device. The app has no accounts, no servers, and no backend.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
There is nowhere for your data to go except your own device.
TidyShots asks for access to your photo library so it can find your screenshots and show them on screen. It only displays images that iOS identifies as screenshots. Images are read directly on your device using Apple's Photos framework. They are never uploaded, copied to a server, or shared with any third party.
If you grant access to only some of your photos, the app only sees the photos you selected. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
When you confirm a deletion, TidyShots asks iOS to move those screenshots to the Recently Deleted album, where they stay recoverable for 30 days. iOS always shows its own confirmation before anything is deleted, and the deletion happens entirely on your device.
The app stores the following, only on your iPhone:
The app does not store copies of your screenshots. This data is not synced to iCloud or anywhere else. You can clear your decisions at any time from Settings › Reset all decisions inside the app, and all app data is removed when you delete the app.
The app may show Apple's standard App Store rating prompt. This prompt is handled entirely by Apple through the StoreKit framework, and we do not receive any information from it. TidyShots has no in-app purchases.
TidyShots does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. It only uses Apple's own frameworks (Photos, PhotosUI, SwiftData, StoreKit), which keep data on your device.
We collect no data, so we have nothing to retain or delete on our end. Your decisions stay on your device until you reset them in the app or uninstall it.
TidyShots does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The app collects no personal data at all.
If you are in the European Union, the EEA, or California, you may have rights over your personal data under GDPR or CCPA. TidyShots does not collect or process any personal data on our servers, so in practice there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete.
For data held by Apple, such as App Store activity, please see Apple's privacy controls and the Apple Privacy Portal.
We may update this policy if a change to the app affects how data is handled. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
