Who paid for what, settled.

Someone covers your lunch. You get the next round. Three weeks later nobody can remember who's up. Tallypad keeps one running balance with each friend — no account, no server, no awkward maths at the table.

One balance per person

No fiddly per-loan bookkeeping. Every friend has a single number: what they owe you, or what you owe them.

✓

Settle in a tap

Wipe the slate clean, or pay off part of it and leave the rest running. Settling is an entry, not a delete — the history stays.

€

Any currency, never converted

Lend euros on holiday and dollars at home. Tallypad tracks them side by side and never invents an exchange rate, because a made-up rate turns a real record into a wrong one.

📎

Receipts

Attach a photo to any entry, for the times “what was that for?” needs a better answer than memory.

↗

Share the whole story

Send a friend a clean summary showing the balance and every entry behind it, with the reason and date for each.

▢

A widget for the awkward bit

Keep what you’re owed on your home screen, so you actually remember to ask.

Every number shows its working.

A balance is only ever the sum of the entries behind it. Nothing is cached, so deleting or editing an entry can never leave a stale total sitting there.

The same tally, either way.

TallyPad is a native app on both platforms — built separately for each, not a web page in a wrapper. The numbers below are the same ledger on an iPhone and on a Pixel.

One difference worth knowing: the iPhone app can sync between your own devices through your private iCloud. The Android app keeps everything on the device and has no sync, so the two apps hold separate ledgers.

There is nowhere for your data to go.

Tallypad has no account, no login and no backend. Your ledger lives on your phone. On iPhone you can turn on iCloud sync, and it moves between your own devices through your private iCloud database — which belongs to your Apple Account, not to us. On Android it simply never leaves the device. We never see it either way, because we have nowhere to keep it.
