Breakpoint is an iPhone and Apple Watch app for tracking tennis matches and scores. All match history, player rosters, and settings are stored locally on your device. The optional iCloud sync feature sends data exclusively to your own private iCloud account — we never see or access it.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
We have no servers, no accounts, and no backend. There is nowhere for your data to go except your own devices.
All match records, player profiles, and app preferences are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. The Apple Watch mirrors a subset of your player roster using the device's local storage — this sync happens over the direct iPhone–Watch connection (WatchConnectivity) and never leaves your devices.
Breakpoint offers optional iCloud sync as a premium feature. When enabled, your match and player data is synced through Apple's CloudKit framework to your private iCloud database. This data is encrypted by Apple and is accessible only to you — we do not have access to it.
You can enable or disable iCloud sync at any time from the app's Settings screen. Disabling sync does not delete data from iCloud; you can manage your iCloud storage directly in the iOS Settings app under your Apple ID.
If you enable the "Save to Health" option, Breakpoint requests permission to write tennis workout sessions to the Apple Health app on your Apple Watch. This data is written directly to Apple's HealthKit database on your device and is governed entirely by Apple's privacy policies. We do not read, store, or transmit your HealthKit data.
HealthKit data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.
Breakpoint offers optional premium features available through in-app purchase. All payment processing is handled by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment card information. Apple's Privacy Policy governs all transaction data.
Breakpoint does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only external frameworks used are Apple's own (SwiftData, CloudKit, HealthKit, WatchConnectivity, StoreKit), all of which keep data on your device or within your Apple account.
Because we collect no data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our end. Your match history and player data persist on your device until you delete them within the app or uninstall the app. If iCloud sync is enabled, data persists in your iCloud account subject to Apple's retention policies.
Breakpoint does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because the app collects no personal data at all, it is safe for users of any age.
If you are located in the European Union, EEA, or California, you may have rights regarding your personal data under GDPR or CCPA. Because Breakpoint does not collect or process any personal data on our servers, these rights have limited practical application — there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete.

We may update this policy if the app's functionality changes in a way that affects data handling. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
